Together with @janetnewenham

Lately I travelled through the Krabi Province in Thailand and aI was invited to the Aonang Cliff Beach Resort. As part of their marketing campaign we were invited to check out their new hotel nestled high above the lovely beach town of Ao Nang. Stunning views from my bed, a hot tub on the balcony, an amazing buffet breakfast and the best infinity pool in Ao Nang were all included. Apparently I was not the only blogger who was invited as Janet Newenham, the award winning Irisch travelblogger behind Journalist on the Run was also making her appearance. The hotel organized a meet up and we all went for dinner.

Janet joined the meeting a bit later and this talkative blogger was a very welcome inspiration. Her stories were incredible as she just arrived from India where she joined the Kerala Blog Experience. Put 35 travel bloggers from 25 different countries in one bus and drive them around the Kerala Province in India. The mindblowing stories were overwhelming and I probably asked her about a 100 questions. Soon I also realized that I am a travel that blogs, where most professional travel bloggers are bloggers that travel. But this meeting was such an inspiration for me that I seriously want to make a living out of blogging now. It is definitely possible, it is simply hard work and I am willing to put myself through this hard first year, where it is mostly just spending time, money and energy without gaining that much.

Obviously our Journalist on the Run was pretty exhausted from her journey through India and went to bed around 2am. The weasels, the hotel staff and I kept on chitchatting and around 5am we decided to go for a swim in the amazing panorama pool. We should have waited for the sunrise which is around 6.30, but I plunged in my bed just 30 minutes

It was my first ever blogger meet up and I hope there are a lot more coming. What I learned this evening was more than I can find on google in whole week. Thank you so much Travelling Weasels and Janet for all your tips and tricks and of course the Aonang Cliff Beach Resort for organizing this meeting.
