Australia is the dream of many travelers and therefore I know that there will be a lot of people not sharing my opinion, but I cant help it. When I was younger I always wondered what’s it like to live in Australia. Why? I actually don’t really know. I think because it was so damn far away from Europe I’d always been so excited to travel down under. Australia attracts travelers from all over the world and yes they definitely offer some amazingly unique experiences like kangaroo’s, the Opera House, koalas, endless beaches, the Great Barrier Reef, etc. The best places to see in Australia are fabulous and there are tons of other reasons to love Australia, yet still it is not my favourite country.
Travel is the best education but also the best way to make memories for a lifetime. Exploring the world will make you a better and happier person. Experiences that are way out of your comfort zone will make you feel alive. This is a list of the 30 most amazing things I only experienced because I traveled around the world. Go out live your dreams, don't dream your life or at least start realising that everyone can travel and gather experiences, it is the simple question of how much you are willing to sacrifice to realise your dreams.
While searching for a holiday destination money is for mostly everyone always an issue. Of course you are willing to spend a little extra because yes it is your holiday, but when you travel there are more things you have to think about. Travelling is not like a holiday I have explained that many times in other articles. When travelling you are always looking to find the right balance between comfort and price and that is exactly one of the reasons why Asia is so popular for travellers: the value for money is the best in the world! Bali on a budget does not mean you stay in shabby places or eat crappy food at all! Go for it, you will be fine!
When people talk about their holiday in the Seychelles they were probably on a honeymoon or they have a shit load of money. That’s at least what I was thinking when people talked about this remote archipelago somewhere in the Indian Ocean. But even I visited this tiny country and I have not been married yet, nor did I win the lottery. That means it must be possible to visit these islands on a budget!
After many years of traveling around the world I have come to the conclusion that I am a big fan of countries where you get a lot of bang for your buck! Every time I earn some money with my blog I calculate in 'months in Thailand'. As Thailand is one of the best places to backpack in the world I stranded there a lot of times and it never really cost me more than $800 a month. In this list I will give you the best backpack destinations that I have visited and some backpack destinations for beginners.
