While studying Spanish in Colombia I stayed in one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in Medellin: El Poblado. As Medellin is known for its beautiful people I kind of had to subscribe to a gym to make sure I was not falling out of favor with the locals.

Of course this was not my main motivation since I am hitting the gym for many years now and I pursuing a healthy lifestyle. I searched on the internet for the best gym in town, which appeared to be on top of one of the coolest hotels in the city. The Charlee hotel right next to parque Lleras is an icon in Medellin and a rendezvous for famous and obviously gorgeous people. The top-notch gym on one of the top floors is the place where the elite Antioqueños, as the people of Medellin are being called, can be found. Seriously I was impressed every time again by the beautiful people that I met during my work out. There was no better motivation than this, I just could not stop going to the gym here!
Obviously this gym is gonna cost you some dollars. But the best option is to stay in the Charlee Hotel itself and the entrance will be complimentary. I was lucky that my local friend was a member of the Ultra Wellness Center so I got a huge discount. Its not only the gym that should draw you to this hotel. Literally on top of the Wellness Center there is a skybar called Envy rooftop. The bar often is the venue where amazing pool parties take place. Its also the perfect place for a cocktail at sunset.
Furthermore the glamorous hotel has outstanding rooms that come with all the luxury you expect from a 5 star hotel. All rooms have balconies with amazing city views and some come even with a private Jacuzzi.
Looking for a place to stay and you don’t mind splurging then this is definitely the coolest hotel in Medellin. Situated in El Poblado the wealthiest district of the city and right in the heart of Medellin’s nightlife.
