This recently opened Taj property has the best location if you are looking for hotels near Mumbai domestic airport. Taj Santacruz opened its doors only a couple months ago and from the terminal you can walk right into the hotel lobby. Of course everything within the hotel is designed with a touch a Taj: luxury and class! I have been working with the Taj group around India and also stayed in some of their palaces: Umaid Bhawan Palace and Taj Lake Palace Udaipur.

There are a couple hotels near Domestic Airport Mumbai, but this one is within walking distance. Within minutes after collecting your suitcase you will be in the great entrance hall checking in with the friendly staff or even better taken to the Club Lounge where the check in will be preformed and welcome drinks will be served.
Service
Of course the service level in this new property is top notch and the Taj Group gathered a mix of newly trained staff and Taj employees from other properties to run this hotel. Since I was a little sick when I arrived I ordered some medicine and within no-time someone went to the pharmacy for me to get me something, complimentary service. I also had Club Lounge access and in Monsoon season this was the perfect place to catch up with work and try the chefs local food samples.
Rooms Taj Santacruz
The super spacious room had a fantastic feature, which I had never seen before. My floor to ceiling window had runway view and every couple minutes I saw either a plane taking off or landing. The 3 layers of glass made sure the noise was reduced to a minimum. The sofa in front of this window was a great place for my plane spotting cravings. It was one of the bigger hotel rooms I experienced in hotels near Mumbai domestic airport. The bathroom had a huge bathtub plus a flatscreen tv. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast!
Facilities
There is a huge outdoor swimming pool catered to those who want to stay fit and swim some lanes. The fitness is next door and is open 24 hours and is bigger than you expect from a normal hotel gym.
I also tried out the Spa and indulged myself with a 90 minutes massage. It was my first time I was told to take a shower, enjoy the steam cabin, relax in the sauna and then come to the private massage room. The staff took great care of me and I already felt wonderful before I even enjoyed a lovely massage.
Restaurants Taj Santacruz
The hotel houses three restaurants and a Club Lounge. The lounge had equally stunning views over the runway as my room. Check out the Chinese restaurant China Inc with its great interior design. A meters long snake is hanging from the ceiling created by endless glass bottles.
My favourite though was Rivea Restaurant, which serves Italian and French cuisine and has a huge selection of wines and skilled sommeliers to advice you. I chose to try the 8-course sample menu and had the chance to try most of their signature dishes, a great foodie experience.
Review Taj Santacruz
Location wise there are hardly any Mumbai airport hotels that can beat Taj Santacruz. The rooms are spacious and staff is lovely. If you are looking for hotels near domestic Airport Mumbai I can definitely recommend this Taj Group property. On Agoda I found rates that go under $100 per night and that for a 5 star luxury hotel and a review score of more than 9.0.
