After our lovely stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront in Dubai Waterfront, we thought it would be fun to check in to another Radisson Blu Hotel nearby. That is how we ended up at the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Canal View. They’re barely four kilometers apart from each other, but that’s a world away in Dubai, making you explore a complete new part of this magical city.

The Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Canal View was originally opened in November 2019, but had to close again in April 2020 due to the pandemic. Eventually opening up again early 2021, so it still felt like a pretty new hotel to us. In this blog you can read all about our experiences during our stay.

Business Bay Dubai

The Radisson Blue Hotel Canal View is located in the Business Bay area, another new and upcoming district  but awesome place to visit in Dubai. There’s still a lot of construction going on at the moment, but it takes just a little bit of imagination to imagine what will rise here and what it will be like once it’s all finished. There is a small marina with yachts, there are already swinging palm trees, luxury estates and great views of Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa and of course Canal views.

There is a walking path from behind the hotel in the direction of the small Business Bay marina, which only takes a few minutes to reach. At the moment there are no shops or restaurants and it even feels a bit extinct, but give it a few months and it will be really lively and bustling here.

Checking in to room 1105

Before arriving at the Radisson Blu Hotel Canal View, we secretly hoped that we would get a room with Canal views, because that’s what you come for of course. Well, no disappointments there I can tell you!

We were given room 1105, a very large room, with separate living room area, a large bedroom with king bed and a large bathroom. Two bottles of water per day were provided as well as a bottle of sanitizer.

And of course, our room had amazing Canal views, we could even get a glimpse of the Burj Khalifa, fantastic.

The Larder

The fun thing about staying in another Radisson hotel is that some things are exactly the same. Breakfast is served at the Larder Restaurant, buffet style. It’s even located at the same third floor as at the Waterfront hotel.

They also serve buffet lunch and dinner, which are really worth the money! We had lunch here on the first day of our stay, which is 130 Dirhams each and you can get as much as you want. The food is absolutely delicious.

BAI Bar & Terrace

Just like I really liked the FireLake Restaurant at the Waterfront Hotel, I also fell in love with BAI Bar & Terrace the Radisson Hotel Canal View has to offer.

BAI Bar is a sports bar, with plenty of sports to watch every day. I think their terrace is the best part, as it offers incredible views of the Dubai skyline, including the Burj Khalifa. Especially by night, when it all lights up, it’s an absolutely breathtaking view. Just the perfect setting to have dinner. They offer great and delicious food in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

BakeHouse Lobby Café

The BakeHouse Lobby Café is located, no surprise, in the lobby of the hotel. It’s your place to be to grab a quick bite. They serve tasty treats, specialty coffees, homemade pastries as well as healthy smoothies.

Pool

I really liked the pool of this hotel, as it is located on the right side of the hotel, offering those impressive skyline views. Having a dip or a swim with these views is fantastic and never gets boring. Right next to the pool you’ll find the Shelf Pool Bar, serving a delicious American-inspired menu and cold drinks. There’s a lifeguard on duty, handing out towels upon arrival.

It’s located at the third floor of the hotel, together with the spa and gym.

Review Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Canal View

Even though the surrounding area of this new hotel is still under construction, somehow you see past all these construction works, well we did anyway. It’s very easy to see the bigger picture of what’s to come here.

Nevertheless we had a fantastic stay here, which is certainly worth repeating. Should we ever visit Dubai again (and we will 100%), we will definitely consider this Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Canal View again. I am excited to see the whole area when it’s all finished.
