My most recent Canada trip also brought me to the vibrant city of Montreal. Searching for Montreal accommodation for my travels, for me it’s important that my hotel is located on a prime location in the city I visit. This lead me to Le Centre Sheraton in Montreal Downtown. With their newly renovated Club Rooms and its location right in the middle of downtown, this had to be my place to stay.
Location Le Centre Sheraton Montreal
The name of this hotel says it all, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal is located in the heart of Downtown Montreal. Leave your car with the valet parking of the hotel, because you don’t need it while exploring this beautiful city. As soon as you step outside the hotel, you’re right in the middle of town. Just a few steps away are the main shopping areas of Montreal. The weather unfortunately wasn’t great when I visited Montreal, so I was super happy having all these shops close by.
Also just a few steps away is the Bell Centre, home to the Montreal Canadiens, the local ice hockey heroes. If you’re in town when the Canadiens have a home game, make sure to get tickets through the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal concierge, it’s an experience of a lifetime!
The old town of Montreal is a bit of a walk away, it takes you about half an hour if you want to walk there. You can also take public transport, if that’s more your cup of tea.
Sheraton Club King Guestroom Le Centre Sheraton Montreal
I was granted a Sheraton Club King guestroom, which made me pretty happy. All the King Club guestrooms at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal have recently been renovated, so it was like stepping into a brand new hotel room. My room was located on the 34th floor, I had my room at the backside of the hotel, which didn’t have the best views, but still overlooking a decent part of the downtown district.
The room came with complimentary water and Starbucks coffee. Another benefit of the Sheraton Club King guestrooms is that you’ll have access to the Sheraton Club Lounge.The room also came with a spacious bathroom and upgraded amenities, with mouthwash and shaving cream.
Le Centre Sheraton Club Lounge
The Sheraton Club Lounge is located on the 37th floor of the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal, overlooking most parts of Montreal. The Sheraton Club Lounge was included in my booking and I could make use of it throughout my whole stay. It is included when booking a Club room.
If it’s not included in your booking, please check with the front desk, they might be able to add it for you (this will probably cost you a few bucks, but is worth it).
The lounge comes with numerous benefits, like all day snacks, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and deluxe continental breakfast. It’s the best thing, having breakfast on the 37th floor, overlooking Montreal and start planning your day.
I spent quite some time here due to the bad weather I had in Montreal, and it is such a relaxed and quiet place. Even though I would have loved to go out, I really enjoyed just hanging around in the Sheraton Club Lounge.
Renovation works Le Centre Sheraton Montreal
Like I mentioned before, the Sheraton Club King Guestrooms have all recently been renovated. It gives them a completely new look and feel. It really felt like walking into a brand-new hotel room. Next to these rooms, the full hotel will be renovated over the next years, all the way from the lobby to the Sheraton Club Lounge.
Visiting the hotel over the next few months and years, you might notice these works going on but I’m sure the staff of the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal will be doing everything they can to ensure you have the most comfortable stay, just like during my stay. Im very curious to see the results of these renovation works!
Restaurants Le Centre Sheraton Montreal
Le Centre Sheraton Montreal offers their guests two dining options. Both Bistro Le Boulevard and the Cafe Bar offer international dining.
The Cafe Bar is more a hotel bar look and feel, but serves the same dishes as Bistro Le Boulevard. They have several televisions showing sports and news, and the bar area is surrounded by bookshelves, which gives it a homely feel.
Bistro Le Boulevard is only open for breakfast and lunch, and reservations are required here.
Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel review
Parking services are offered by Le Centre Sheraton Montreal, which is super easy, as you’re located right in the middle of the city. Both valet parking and self-parking are available. I just left my car with the valet parking and explored the city on foot.
Like many other travelers I love to shop for souvenirs. And lucky me, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal has a souvenir shop on Level A of the hotel. So if it rains, you don’t even have to go out to take home those most wanted souvenirs from Montreal. Not really into souvenir shopping? They also have a jewellery store, located on Level A of the hotel.
Tired of all the travels? Also located on the 6th floor of the hotel is Salon Pressurat. Give them a visit and recharge with energizing massage treatments, facials and salon services.
After the well-deserved massage you can also visit the hair salon to get your hair done.
On the 6th floor you’ll find the gym and a saltwater pool. There’s also a spa and sauna available at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal. Next to the gym there is an outdoor terrace offering some nice views of Montreal. On a sunny day, pick one of the lounge chairs and just enjoy the views!
