To be honest I had never heard of the Trident chain before I checked in to the Trident Nariman Point Mumbai. The hotel is part of the Oberoi Group and therefore a high standards can be expected. I choose this hotel after roaming the internet and I stumbled upon a picture on Google Images. The room I saw had the most amazing view over Mumbai and guess where I ended up a couple weeks later, yes in the corner suite of the Trident Nariman Point.
Getting my breakfast served up in the room was of course the best thing I could wish for in the morning. Needless to say that this is the ultimate breakfast with a view in Mumbai.
Location Trident Mumbai
You can’t beat the location! Hotels at Nariman Point are all close to the action. Nightlife, restaurants and sightseeing are all around here in this prime location in Southern Mumbai. The famous Mumbai boulevard also called the queens necklace is on your doorstep and the Gateway of India is within walking distance as well. Plus the best view of Mumbai seriously comes from one of the corner suites of this hotel. Suite Trident Nariman Point
I styed in the suite up on the 17th floor on the corner of the building and therefore had a 270 degrees view of Mumbai. The suite is so big that it is more like an apartment, with a separate kitchen, living and dining room, little office and bedroom. I converted the dining table into a workspace so that I could enjoy the amazing oceanview at the same time. The WiFi connection was excellent and I ordered room service so that I didn’t have to leave the suite. Yes I was totally in love with this place!
The bedroom had a glass wall connection with the bathroom and I was greeted with a flower bath upon arrival. There was also an extra seating area with another sofa. Yes again I could have lived here, it was more like an apartment than a hotel suite to me!
Facilities
The pool has great views over the boulevard and the ocean as well. Unfortunately it was raining most of the time. That was a good excuse to go to the very well equipped gym and enjoy the Spa.
Trident Nariman Point Restaurants
As I did not have that much time and I was busy all day I only checked out the Frangipani restaurant but I was glad I did. There was a wide choice of Western food but of course I tried the chefs specialty: delicious Indian food. The staff was super nice and did all they could to make me have an incredible night out.
